More About Liz
I walk with personal and professional experience of a broken body, a “too-smart” yet stymied brain, abuse, sexual assault, adoption, divorce and other manifestations of the human wound of separation.
I also walk within the creative process, and I walk with joy.
Getting to participate with myself and others through the practices I’ve inherited is an ongoing source of value and intimacy.
I grew up in the Bay Area, California, travelled a bit, and now live in a relatively rural part of Illinois. These and other bubbles greatly shape and inform me. I have been both afflicted and blessed by the combination of significant trauma and incredible privilege.
When the emperor has no clothes, I really appreciate breaking the spell by laughing out loud about it.
I care about both the light and the “dark”, and the middle ranges.
I am a lover of nature, song, humans, community-tending, and Art History 101. (We are meant to share our art. Broader definition. Not on Instagram.)
I am hard-won close with my parents, I am a mother myself, and I am a friend.
I am grateful for others endeavoring to live lives that are Real.
