Present Vulnerability & a Deeply Satisfied Life

I want to walk with people who are presently vulnerable. Does anyone talk about struggling while building a business?

For a long time, I thought this was “unprofessional”.

Then I remembered that I get to define my tenants for living and, for me, professionalism is in large part defined by authenticitynot only about what used to be up, but what’s up now, i.e. present vulnerability.

I’m learning to be open about what I do and do not do well.

Where do you shine? Where do you need support? And do you feel safe to say it?

I shine when guiding people through scary stuck places–and even when helping others market themselves. I need help when marketing myself. I’m getting safe to say it.

One of the greatest tasks of our generation is to help midwife ourselves from a me-culture to a we-culture. What better way to be the change than to openly share that we cannot be everything, that we need help?

These places where we overlap thanks to our needs are the most important places of all–the We Places.

Here in the WPs (yup, I did that) we can be of more service, more often, more cleanly, more congruently!

Last summer I was fortunate to be able to assist in a girl’s camp. My #1 takeaway was this: We do not put ourselves down. This is how we lead the world’s girls.  Let us not negate ourselves–exactly as we are. Let us not negate the We Places we are being invited into.

These are two of the most powerful practices for a deeply satisfied life.
